Waterproof and highly vapor permeable membrane
Blachy Pruszyński offers original seals to prevent water, snow or other impurities for its roof profiles. Also, seals should be fastened under machining (ridges, windbreakers, windscreening lanes). The supplied seals have a shape corresponding to the sheet profile both for roof tiles and trapezoidal sheets.
Based on many years of experience and research, we can conclude that the condition for trouble-free use of the roof system is the use of an appropriate vapor barrier in combination with a high vapor permeability foil (FWK). The use of low vapor permeable films is being abandoned. Our company recommends the use of the highest quality materials, which allows for long-term trouble-free use of the roof. The role of the roof is limited to two basic functions: the roof must be airtight and aesthetic. The tightness condition may not be maintained if a poor quality membrane (or foil) is used or its installation is incorrect. Another important argument is that a roof built using a good quality membrane is simply cheaper and warmer, which is reflected in heating bills.
The Blachy Pruszyński company offers high-quality vapor-permeable films. As a standard, roof membranes are protected against UV radiation, for this purpose special stabilizing components are added to increase resistance to solar radiation. It should be noted that roof membranes cannot be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time, therefore it is recommended to close the roof as soon as possible. The durability of the membrane against direct sunlight is 3 months. Thanks to high vapor permeability, there is no need to create a ventilation gap between the membrane and thermal insulation. It should be remembered that the installation of the membrane should always take place in conjunction with the counter batten.
