Ridge tape is used to seal the ventilated ridge tiles of pitched roofs laid on battens and counter-battens. It is installed on ridges and corners, beneath the ridge tiles, over the already installed roofing. The tape ensures good ventilation of the roof surface, which is particularly important for metal roofing and its longevity. The tape prevents water (snow, rain), as well as dust and dirt, from penetrating beneath the roofing material.
The VENTSOL ridge tape with mesh is an indispensable component for ensuring effective roof ventilation. It ensures the free drainage of condensate thanks to a mesh with 1-mm-diameter openings and an air permeability of 12,900 l/m²/s, ΔP = 200 Pa (EN ISO 9237:1995), from the ventilation cavity between the pre-covering and the underside of the roof covering, which eliminates the risk of moisture buildup and ensures the proper functioning of the roof structure.
It is worth noting that, thanks to its specially designed mesh, the VENTSOL ridge tape is designed specifically for metal roofing. It also features two strips of butyl adhesive, which significantly simplifies its assembly on the roof and reduces the time required to install it. We recommend using it on all ridges installed on profiled roofing (metal roof tiles and trapezoidal sheets) due to the VENTSOL tape’s versatility.
VENTSOL 230 ridge tape is the ideal and indispensable choice for finishing roof surfaces. Made of aluminum and polypropylene mesh, it is additionally backed with butyl tape featuring an adhesive (protected by PET film).
