Fasteners for sandwich panels

Sandwich panels are fastened to the steel structure using self-tapping fasteners.

• Self-tapping fasteners are used to secure panels to steel structures with a maximum wall thickness of 6/12 mm.
• The fasteners are made of hardened carbon steel with a surface treatment to protect against corrosion.
• All fasteners are equipped with vulcanized EPDM washers.
• The diameter of the working thread is 5.5 mm.

PWD-W panels are fastened across their width using two or three fasteners through the flanges—in the case of trapezoidal corrugations. For steel structures thicker than 12 mm and concrete structures, other fasteners may be used:

• for steel substrates (thicker than 12 mm) — special self-tapping fasteners with a suitably shaped working thread profile are recommended,
• For concrete substrates, we recommend special fasteners with an expansion element or self-tapping fasteners with a specially shaped working thread. Use specialized power tools to drive the fasteners—a screwdriver with a special head that ensures proper guidance of the fastener and a depth stop.
