WOOLTECH (Wool) Wall PLUS – wall sandwich panels – mineral wool – second generation – concealed fastening
Modern technologies in the construction industry allow manufacturers of building materials to achieve increasingly better performance metrics, which are expected by the demanding investment market. The same is true for sandwich panels, whose manufacturers are expected to achieve better performance in terms of thermal insulation, fire resistance, and ease of assembly.
The WEŁNA PLUS product is part of a new generation of panels with a mineral wool core, which is the result of the Blachy Pruszyński Company’s investment in a new production line designed to meet the requirements of the construction industry of the future.
The second generation of PWS2-MW panels not only significantly improved the product’s performance but also substantially expanded the range of product variants. In addition to the classic sandwich panel with a Mineral Wool core—the PWS2-MW-ST—a variant with a hidden joint has been introduced: the PWS2-MW-PL, as well as, similar to the previous EKO and PWD2-MW models, a roof sandwich panel. Along with a marked improvement in technical performance, we have introduced design changes that have standardized the assembly method and dimensions of panels with a mineral wool core relative to PIR panels. As a result, both architects and developers have complete freedom in configuring the building—depending on their needs. This has significantly simplified both assembly and design—both types of panels (wool-core and polyurethane-core) are compatible, allowing them to be combined within a single structure depending on the requirements of a given section of the building.

WEŁNA PLUS, designated PWS2-MW-PL, is a technologically advanced wall panel with a mineral wool core, featuring a Hidden joint. This new variant was designed specifically to work in synergy with other products of the Blachy Pruszyński Company, including the panel with a polyurethane foam core (PWS-PIR-ST, PWS-PIR-PL).
WEŁNA PLUS consists of two layers of steel sheet cladding and a structural-insulating core made of mineral wool with a density of 115 kg/m³. The steel cladding is made of 0.5 mm thick steel sheet and coated with metallic and organic coatings that offer high resistance to weathering, rust, and mechanical damage.
The use of specialized hidden joint solutions, as well as improved sandwich panel specifications, allows for the seamless joining of products filled with PIR foam and mineral wool on-site, providing greater design flexibility and enabling the achievement of desired physical properties in specific building sections. The flush finish at panel joints is an aesthetic feature that speeds up construction work and allows for additional savings related to wall finishing

The new-generation WEŁNA PLUS wall sandwich panels combine the advancements of a new production line—which has significantly improved the panels’ technical specifications and manufacturing precision—with features designed to benefit architects and developers. Their main features include
Our new production line—the result of many years of experience, extensive analysis, and the use of the latest technologies available in this field—ensures that our sandwich panels with a wool core stand out in the market in several ways:
Thanks to its investment in a new production line, the Blachy Pruszyński Company has become one of the top players on the Polish market in terms of quality when it comes to Sandwich panels Mineral Wool.
PWS2-MW sandwich panels can be fastened to steel or concrete substrates; they are fastened to steel structures using self-tapping fasteners, which are used to fasten the panels to steel structures with a maximum wall thickness of 14 mm and are equipped with vulcanized EPDM washers. The working thread diameter is 5.5 mm. For steel structures thicker than 14 mm and for concrete structures, other fasteners may be used:
During assembly, it is important to use specialized power tools to drive the fasteners—that is, a screwdriver with a special head that ensures proper guidance of the fastener and a depth stop. The clamping force of the fastener should be adjusted so as not to deform the washer.
Colors play a major role in how WEŁNA STANDARD panels are assembled. Dark colors cause the sandwich panels to have high heat absorption capacity and heat up to high temperatures. Especially on sunny days, localized surface deformation may occur. This factor must be taken into account during assembly; ensure that there is room for thermal movement (expansion joints) and use panels of limited length to prevent localized deformation of the product.

The WEŁNA PLUS line of next-generation sandwich panels includes 8 products with varying thicknesses of mineral wool core. The products in the WEŁNA PLUS line are one of the categories of products based on a mineral wool core in our product range.
In addition to WEŁNA Plus, we also manufacture:
In the category of products with a Hidden joint, we currently offer:
Our product line allows you to choose the type of profiling for both exterior and interior cladding, as well as various combinations of the two.
WEŁNA PLUS products offer excellent thermal insulation properties—their thermal conductivity coefficient ranges from 0.66 Uc W/(m²/K) to 0.28 Uc W/(m²/K) for the thickest version.
For fire safety reasons, mineral wool-core roof sandwich panels and wall sandwich panels have been classified as A2 based on fire tests conducted to assess their reaction to fire, fire spread, and fire resistance in accordance with PN-EN 13501, PN-90/B-08267, PN-B-02851, and PN-EN 13501. These characteristics make our panels ideal for insulating buildings subject to the most stringent fire safety requirements.
The table below shows the acceptable panel lengths based on the cladding color, assuming a minimum length of 2.5 meters for single-span systems. The maximum panel length is 18 meters*, though this depends on the selected color.
Color group | Colour | Max. length (m) * |
Group I Very light colours | RAL: 1015, 7035, 9001, 9002, 9010 | 18 m |

* When determining the maximum length, the panel thickness must also be taken into account. Panels with a core thickness of up to 60 mm have reduced maximum lengths
** length resulting from the limit on the maximum extension/contraction of the panel
