Byśkiniewicz and Jastrzębski Are the Second-Place Finishers in the 2026 RSMP Polish Championships

Rajd Wisły, II Wicemistrzowie RSMP

Łukasz Byśkiniewicz and Łukasz Jastrzębski claimed the title of Second Runners-Up in the overall standings of the 2026 Polish Rally Championship. The crew’s final standing was determined by their performance throughout the season, during which they consistently ranked among the top contenders in the national competition.

In the final, 70th Vistula Rally, Byśkiniewicz and Jastrzębski finished third in the overall standings. This result allowed them to end the season in third place in the series standings. For Łukasz Byśkiniewicz, this is the second-best result of his career to date.

Adrian Rzeźnik and Kamil Kozdroń won the 2026 Polish Championship, accumulating 188 points in their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. For 19-year-old Rzeźnik, this is a historic achievement—he became the youngest Polish champion in the RSMP overall standings and sealed the title with a victory in the Vistula Rally.

Jarosław Szeja and Marcin Szeja, also competing in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, claimed the title of Polish Runners-Up. With 177 points, they finished the season in second place in the overall standings. The fate of the championship title was decided in the season’s final round—at the Wisła Rally, the Szejas were just 7.4 seconds away from victory, and on the final special stage, the gap was a mere 1.2 seconds.

For Byśkiniewicz and Jastrzębski, it was a season of consistent competition for the top spots. In the first three rallies, the crew finished second three times, laying the groundwork for a fight for a spot on the overall podium.

For most of this year’s races, Łukasz Byśkiniewicz teamed up with Łukasz Jastrzębski. The exception was the Valvoline Małopolska Rally, where Daniel Siatkowski took the passenger seat. The crew finished that rally in 2nd place, losing the battle for victory by just 7.3 seconds.

During the 2026 season, Byśkiniewicz competed in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2—a Rally2-category car equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing approximately 289 KM and 430 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed sequential transmission, and power is delivered to all four wheels. The car is also equipped with, among other things, a roll cage and a specially protected fuel tank.

Since 2021, the Blachy Pruszyński Company has been sponsoring Łukasz Byśkiniewicz, supporting his participation in the Polish Rally Championship. In the 2026 season, Łukasz Jastrzębski joined the team, and together they secured the title of Second Runners-Up in the Polish Championship.

Summing up the season, Łukasz Byśkiniewicz highlights its successful start, the challenging finale, and the importance of consistent driving:

“We are happy to have secured the title of second-place finishers in the overall standings of the 2026 Polish Rally Championship. It was a successful season for us—the first three rallies went particularly well, as we finished in second place each time. This year’s final edition of the Vistula Rally was the most challenging in terms of the complexity of the routes. Fortunately, the conditions were good, and we were able to race under stable conditions. Throughout the rally, we held onto our third-place position and watched the beautiful and fierce battle between the duo of Adrian Rzeźnik and Kamil Kozdroń and the Szeja brothers. Those guys were definitely faster than us, and it made no sense to take risks and try to catch up to them—it wouldn’t have done us any good in the overall championship standings. I sincerely congratulate Adrian Rzeźnik on winning the Polish Championship title at the age of 19. This is a tremendous achievement that I believe will be remembered for a very long time in the history of Polish motorsports. No one has ever won the overall title at such a young age. I’d like to thank our rivals for a fantastic battle throughout the season, and our partners for their tremendous support: Byś Recykling, Blachy Pruszyński Company, Kratki, Tekom Technologia, Anest Iwata Polska, Auto Dna, Team Plast, Michelin, and TVN TURBO. We’ve wrapped up the RSMP season, but later this year we’ll be competing in rally stages during the December Barbórka Rally in Warsaw.”

Łukasz Jastrzębski, on the other hand, emphasizes the challenging nature of the final round and the significance of the result achieved:

“This was the toughest Wisła Rally I’ve ever competed in. That makes me all the more happy to have crossed the finish line and made it to the podium. I’m even happier about our title as the second-place Polish Vice-Champions. It was a very good season for us, full of competition and flawless driving. Our rivals didn’t let up, and we had a very exciting competition throughout 2026. I’m very happy with the results we achieved and how the entire season went.”

Congratulations to Łukasz Byśkiniewicz, Łukasz Jastrzębski, and the entire team on winning the title of Second Runners-Up in the 2026 RSMP Polish Championship!
