The Blachy Pruszyński Company offers specialized roof membranes for its roof profiles, which serve as an integral and essential component of the roof covering. The roof membranes are laid beneath the metal roof tiles and are typically attached to the battens or sheathing. They play a very important role in the roof structure—on the one hand, they provide adequate protection for the roof’s insulation layer against moisture, and on the other, they ensure proper roof ventilation. Based on many years of experience and research, we can conclude that the key to trouble-free operation of a roofing system is the use of an appropriate vapor barrier in combination with a high-vapor-permeability pre-covering (FWK). The use of low-vapor-permeable membranes is now being phased out. Our company recommends using the highest-quality materials, which ensure long-term, trouble-free roof performance. The role of a roof is limited to two basic functions: it must be watertight and aesthetically pleasing. Watertightness may not be achieved if a poor-quality membrane (or underlayment) is used or if its assembly is incorrect. Another important consideration is that a roof built using a high-quality membrane is simply more cost-effective and provides better insulation, which is clearly reflected in your heating bills.
The Blachy Pruszyński Company offers high-quality vapor-permeable membranes. Roof membranes are typically protected against UV radiation; to this end, special stabilizing components are added to increase their resistance to solar radiation. It is important to note that roof membranes must not be exposed to prolonged direct sunlight; therefore, it is recommended to complete the roof as soon as possible. The membrane’s resistance to direct sunlight is rated at 3 months. Thanks to its high vapor permeability, there is no need to create a ventilation gap between the membrane and the thermal insulation. Please note that the assembly of the membrane should always be performed in conjunction with counter-battens.
The membrane is completely waterproof, protects exterior thermal insulation from precipitation, and serves as an excellent wind barrier designed to protect the walls of buildings in frameand in log homes, residential buildings, and industrial facilities. The product can be used on all ventilated and non-ventilated roofs with partial sheathing for roof coverings such as: metal roof tiles, trapezoidal sheets, standing seam sheet metal, ceramic roof tiles, and concrete roof tiles.
The membrane should be protected from direct UV exposure for one month after assembly and from the effects of scattered radiation for up to three months by performing assembly of thermal insulation on the interior.
The product is not resistant to petroleum-based substances (e.g., oil, gasoline, etc.).
The roof membranes in our product line are sold in rolls. Additionally, the rolls are protected with plastic film during storage and transport, ensuring that the product reaches you in perfect condition. Once the plastic film is removed, the membranes are protected to a certain extent from UV rays for up to 1 month. We recommend installing the roof’s top layer as soon as possible to limit the membrane’s exposure to sunlight.
