The trail ventilation is the first and only seam panels intended for ventilation. We have been observing for a long time how the roofs have changed over the past years. Since the roofs covered with traditional tiles are equipped with a ventilation tile, it’s time to provide roofs covered with sheet metal with tiles and panels on the seam of the same comfort. Therefore, to ensure the proper air access, roof ventilators were created.

Help ventilator – a simple and effective ventilation solution

What to do when roofers ensure that the roofing is tight, and yet moisture appears on the walls inside the building? Check if our roof is breathing properly.

Moisture accumulating under the roofing should be discharged outside – every professional who deals with roofing knows about it. Often, however, theoretical knowledge does not translate into practice. As a result, roofs are formed that are not equipped with appropriate ventilation systems. This also applies to coverings made of roof tiles.

The experience of our clients shows that ensuring adequate ventilation is necessary in almost all types. The goal in question can be achieved in a relatively simple and not requiring great -outflow. Namely, mounting the roof ventilators in the roofing. They fulfill one task – they improve air circulation under the roof roof. This is crucial for maintaining the building in good condition, because it protects it against many problems, e.g. the formation of moist spots and stains on the walls, or the destruction of the material used for the thermal insulation of the roof. You should be aware that the mineral wool used as an insulator, when it is too moist, ceases to perform its function. As a result, heat escapes from the building, which increases its heating costs.

The trail ventilation is a simple, but surprisingly effective and easy -to -install device. Similar, so far on the market, solutions required the use of several or even a dozen screws, which meant significant interference in the roofing structure. In addition, they were not aesthetic. Meanwhile, the ventilation proposed by Blachy Pruszyński is an uncomplicated system of gaskets and pressure elements made of plastic, for the installation of which it is enough to drill one hole. The ventilator is available in all basic colors in which Blachy Pruszyński offers its metal roof tile. Thanks to this, the ventilation holes are an integral part of the roof covering, and not just useful, but the element of the whole structure.

The overtime ventilator is mounted in strictly defined places. Usually these are around roof windows and chimneys, baskets and dormers.

To facilitate the roofers of the task, each set in addition to the ventilator also contains a template to determine the exact place of assembly and the user manual. A specially prepared diameter is also available. Thanks to its use, the edges of the hole remain intact, which guarantees that corrosion will not appear around them.

For a standard roof, an average of 8 to 10 ventilators is needed.

Ventilation tiles are mounted where you cannot make otherwise outlets or inlets of the ventilation gap located under the roofing cover.

Is it possible to make copper machining at the steel roof?

When using copper, be careful because copper oxides are very aggressive and cause corrosion of other metals. Therefore, on buildings, it cannot be combined with other metal species (copper enters into contact and causes electrolytic corrosion of other metals).

Why is the metal roofing sheets recommended for the renovation of old roofs?

This is directly related to its low weight. In the case of old roofs, the trusses of the renovated houses are often somewhat damaged by time. Therefore, it is safer to use a metal roofing tile, which weight oscillates at 4.7 kg/m2, than almost ten times a heavier ceramic tile than it. However, it is always worth verifying the condition of the roof truss, with a specialist and make sure that it does not require renovation or replacement. In such cases, the safety of residents or building employees, as well as the assembly team, is always a priority. In most situations, however, the condition of the structure without major problems allows the use of roof tiles, while the use of ceramic tile would not be possible.

Can you use an angle grinder when cutting sheets?

Modern roofing exclude the use of angle grinders for cutting. The use of this method of cutting the material is associated with the loss of warranty.The angle grinder during operation and cutting produces very large amounts of heat, which in turn damages the edges of the sheet, as well as the coating covering it. In addition, the filings extracting during operation blend into the surface of the blades, additionally creating potential corrosion outbreaks.The right way of cutting sheet metal is to use automatic jumps (so -called Nilerler) or hand scissors. They use the mechanical force to cut the sheet, without exposing it to high temperature jumps. In addition, it is worth remembering that after cutting it is good to train cut places with dedicated protective varnish or special paint.

Does the roof require maintenance?

Yes, each roof requires periodic inspections to check if there have been any damage. Most of the products offered by Blachy Pruszyński have various types of specialized coatings available (covered by the warranty), increasing the life and durability of sheet metal. Maintenance consists mainly in removing the deposits and chimney dust, which left for a longer period of time can lead to sheet metal damage. Particular attention should be paid to places around chimneys that are sensitive due to more demanding operating conditions. If during the coverage inspection, local damage to the paint coating will be noticed, paint corrections should be made. In such a situation, the best solution is to use dedicated gloss paints tailored to a given coating.
