Verge flashings group (installed on the side edge of the roof). Standard length from 0.5 to 2.0 m. Made of 0.5 mm galvanized sheet metal coated with a protective layer.

VERGE FLASHINGS are used on the side edges of the roof that end at the building’s gable walls. Their primary function is to protect these edges from atmospheric factors such as wind and rain. These flashings secure the roof against the lifting of the covering by the wind and leaks along the side edges. VERGE FLASHINGS are usually made of steel sheet matched to the color and style of the roof covering. In addition to their protective function, VERGE FLASHINGS provide an aesthetic finish to the side edges of the roof, often integrated with facade elements.
Upper barge flashing is part of verge flashings, installed on the side edge of the roof. Its universal nature allows for use with all types of roof coverings: from roof tiles through trapezoidal sheets as well as standing seam roof panels.
Along with other elements and flashings, such as fascia flashing or drainage channels (note – do not confuse with valley gutters!), they are the basic elements of finishing a metal roof. Upper verge flashing allows for sealing and strengthening the side edge of the roof slope – protecting it both against leakage resulting from intense rainfall, as well as against lifting the roof covering in the event of particularly strong gusts of wind.
