Tigra Plus - Modular roof tile - panel roof tile

Wooden grate:

• It is recommended to use battens with a minimum cross-section of 40×50 mm (depending on the rafter spacing).
• To build the support structure, use: – wooden battens with a cross-section of 40 x 50 mm or 40 x 60 mm,
  – wooden counter-battens with a cross-section of 40 x 50 mm or 40 x 60 mm.
• To construct the substructure for assembly of roof coverings, use dry structural lumber of at least class C24 or KVH, treated with preservatives that do not cause corrosion of coated steel sheets.
• Special attention should be paid to the spacing of the battens—measured from the same edges—which depends on the type of roofing material, as well as to ensuring that their assembly is straight and that their surface is level.
• A substructure made of wooden battens should ensure a level and stable surface for assembly of the roof coverings! Roof furring strips are used to attach the roofing membrane (pre-covering—FWK) to the rafters. Metal roof tile panels are attached directly to the battens. A subframe prepared in this way
  for metal roof assembly should have a level surface and roof slopes with right angles.
• Before placing the battens, measure the length of the module. Keep in mind that the length of the module is measured according to the diagram below.
• Roofs with slopes of less than 20º require a watertight pre-covering. This allows for the achievement of a Class 1 or Class 2 watertight rating (a watertight underlayment or a rainproof underlayment).

TIGRA Plus Assembly:

• Due to its asymmetrical shape and the design feature—the capillary groove—the TIGRA PLUS panel roof tile requires traditional assembly methods.
• The capillary groove design with side drainage in the TIGRA PLUS metal roof tile provides an additional innovative protection feature that effectively drains rainwater from each tile module.
• The solution used—the asymmetrical shape of the metal roof tile profile—requires the installer to follow the correct sequence when joining the sheets by overlapping the top sheet over the bottom sheet (with a capillary groove) when performing assembly from right to left. Assembly from left to right, from the bottom to the top of the roof slope, and in the opposite direction is also permitted. It is important to maintain the correct sequence of sheets in accordance with the direction of rainwater runoff.
• Remember to use 4.8 x 20 mm self-tapping “ staple-type ” screws to join the sheets, and 4.8 x 35 mm mounting screws.
