TVN Turbo Rally Team – unlucky at the Polish (Masurian) Rally

The Masurian Rally is a classic of WRC rallies. On the one hand, it is one of the oldest rallies in Poland, it has the longest route and also always gathers a very strong team. On the other hand, it is also played as a round of the FIA ERC European car championships, as well as the WRC World Championships. It is not surprising, therefore, that the best names in the rally world will meet in Masurian gravel. Our team from TVN Turbo Rally Team, Łukasz and Daniel, could not be missing in this group.

Our rally players prepared themselves very well for this rally and it was visible from the first meters of the rally. They started the routes with a good attitude, but also with humility, because Masurian gravels are demanding and not forgive much. From the beginning they rode fast and flawlessly. Hyundai i29 R5 with the logotype of Pruszyński sheet for the 12th special episode occupied a very good 6th position with a great chance of promotion to the fifth. Unfortunately, the rally fortune can be variable and for two special stages before the finish, on the Mikołajki Max they passed the Krakow. On a narrow forest episode, ruts that discovered concrete slabs underneath. Despite the awareness of this place – Łukasz knew it from previous years, a lot of braking and release, the car unluckyly hooked the wheel, which caused total destruction of the rim, and, as a consequence, loss of control and collision with a tree. It was nothing serious and they came out of it completely unscathed. The car was also not damaged, not counting the rims. Unfortunately, this meant the element of our team from the rally, and thus the loss of a valuable pool of points and a very high position.

However, we do not break our hands at all and keep our fingers crossed for Łukasz and Daniel – they will certainly show the class this season and make up for points!
