Training for Roofers at the Academy of Crafts—Professionals from Poland and Abroad Hone Their Skills

Training sessions at the Academy of Crafts have been ongoing since the beginning of the year and show no signs of slowing down. The training schedule is filled with new dates, and the interest from contractors demonstrates just how important it is in today’s roofing industry to continuously improve one’s skills. One such session took place on March 12–13 at the Training Center in Sokołów, where a training course on the assembly of standing seam panels was conducted.

During two intensive days at the Academy of Crafts, roofers came together, united by one common goal: the desire to develop their craft and gain new knowledge. Modern roofing systems require contractors not only to have experience, but also a very good understanding of the technology and proper assembly techniques. It is precisely the proper execution of details and adherence to assembly guidelines that most significantly determine the durability, watertightness, and aesthetics of the entire roof.

The training sessions led by experts from the Blachy Pruszyński Company are primarily hands-on. Participants work with actual roofing system components, learning the successive stages of assembly—including the PD-510 standing seam panels—from preparing the substructure, through proper panel installation, to executing key assembly details. It is precisely these elements that have the greatest impact on the final quality of the roof and its long-term durability.

Roofers from Lithuania participated in the training session held on March 12–13. This is further proof that the knowledge shared at the Academy of Crafts attracts professionals not only from Poland but also from other European countries. Increasingly, contractors from abroad are participating in these training sessions, seeking to learn about assembly technologies and exchange experiences with roofers working in different conditions and markets.

It is worth noting that training for foreign contractors is not limited to the Training Center in Sokołów. Experts from the Blachy Pruszyński Company also conduct workshops outside of Poland using the Mobile Training Center. This makes it possible to organize training sessions directly in other countries and reach roofers who work with the company’s roofing systems on a daily basis. At the same time, contractors from abroad are eager to visit the permanent Training Center in Sokołów, where the infrastructure allows for classes that are fully focused on practical installation techniques.

Craftsmanship has always evolved through the transfer of knowledge and experience. The modern roofing industry is changing very rapidly, which is why industry training has become one of the key elements in building contractors’ competencies. It is during such events that professionals can compare their experience with new technological solutions, refine their work techniques, and learn about proven installation standards.
