Krzysztof Pruszyński Wins the Mazovian Gentleman D. Award — Recognized for Years of Community Service

Mazowiecki Gentlemen D. 2026

Corporate social responsibility is most meaningful when it translates into concrete actions and tangible support for people. This is confirmed by this year’s award presented during the “Mazowiecka Lady D.” and “Mazowiecki Gentleman D.” awards gala. In the “Friend of People with Disabilities” category, the winner was Krzysztof Pruszyński—an entrepreneur with long-standing ties to Mazovia and the president of the Pruszyński Company.

The gala ceremony took place on June 10, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the historic palace in Jabłonna. Organized by the Mazovian Center for Social Policy , the event has for years honored individuals who break down barriers, support social integration, and build a more open and accessible Mazovia—including both leaders from the disability community and able-bodied allies of that community. Another new feature of this year’s edition was the recognition of nongovernmental organizations working to promote accessibility and equal opportunities. In this year’s edition, out of 65 nominations, the selection committee honored 11 exceptional individuals and one institution.

At this year’s gala, the jury recognized the passion, talent, and extraordinary courage of many outstanding figures from the region. Among the winners of the “Mazowiecka Lady D.” competition were women whose daily activities are making a real difference: Katarzyna Kuleczka (Social Life), Emilia Rudzka (Culture and Art), Klaudia Maria Nowakowska (Sports), Małgorzata Czupik (Professional Life), and Justyna Mortka (Friend to People with Disabilities). Equally inspiring attitudes were demonstrated by the winners of the “Mazowiecki Gentleman D.” title: Michał Szymański (Good Start), Adam Janusz (Social Life), Michał Stępień (Culture and Arts), Dr. Andrzej Babkiewicz (Professional Life), and athlete Piotr Pawełko. Another exceptional moment was the first-ever presentation of the award in the “Mazovian Organization D.” category, which was awarded to the Culture Without Barriers Foundation.

Among this exceptional group of people with big hearts, Krzysztof Pruszyński held a special place. The competition jury and those who nominated him recognized above all his long-standing, discreet, and heartfelt commitment to initiatives carried out in the region. It was emphasized that the president of the Pruszyński Company offers help without fanfare, but with great class, empathy, and respect, staying close to people and recognizing their daily needs. The educational institutions, occupational therapy workshops, and social organizations he has supported for many years lay a solid foundation for the development and empowerment of people at risk of social exclusion.

The award also has a symbolic dimension. It demonstrates that entrepreneurs can play a significant role not only in the region’s economic development but also in building social capital. Today’s businesses are increasingly evaluated not only in terms of financial results, but also in terms of their impact on the environment, employees, and local communities. In this context, the activities of the Blachy Pruszyński Company serve as an example of effectively combining market success with social responsibility.

Initiatives carried out in the company’s immediate vicinity are of particular importance. It is at the local level that the effects of cooperation between local government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector are most evident. Thanks to this model, it is possible to create conditions that promote education, rehabilitation, and the active participation of people with disabilities in social life.

The awarding of the title“Mazovian Gentleman D.” in the“Friend of People with Disabilities”category is a recognition of the company’s consistently implemented philosophy, in which the company’s growth goes hand in hand with caring for the needs of the region’s residents. It is also proof that responsible business can be an important partner in building a modern, accessible, and barrier-free society.

The award presented to Krzysztof Pruszyński is part of a broader effort to support the education and development of people with special needs. One example of such initiatives was the opening of the new building for the Rev. Jan Twardowski Special Education School Complex in Pruszków—a project that created modern learning and therapy environments for students. We previously wrote about this event in the article “ Grand Opening of the New Building of the Rev. Jan Twardowski Special Education School Complex in Pruszków ”, demonstrating the important role played by the cooperation between public institutions, community activists, and socially responsible businesspeople who provided financial support for its implementation.
