Ridge tape is used to seal ridge tiles of ventilated sloping roof coverings lying on battens and counter battens. It is fixed on the ridges and corners, under the ridge tiles, on already laid coverings. The tape provides good ventilation conditions for the slope and protects against the penetration of water (snow, rain), as well as dust and dust under the cover.
The ridge tape is used in the case of coverings made of tiles, especially for cement espressoes and ceramic uninterested tiles, which do not require high breathable tape. It consists of 2 aluminum belts between which there is polypropylene fabric. Specially profiled edges of the tape enable installation on every type of roofing, and are used to efficiently drain water from precipitation. The butyl coating placed on the edges, allows you to permanently connect the tape with the roofing. The tape sticks on porous and smooth surfaces, but it should be remembered that the glued surface should be free of fat and dust.
