Sidewall flashing strip – a finishing element for chimneys, parapets, and vertical roof components. Part of the sidewall flashings group. Made of galvanized metal sheet covered with a protective coating. Various coatings available.

Sidewall flashing, also known as abutment flashing, is a technical solution used where the roof meets vertical elements of the building, such as walls, chimneys, or parapets. Its purpose is to seal these connections and prevent water from entering the structure. This flashing usually consists of two parts: the lower flashing (installed on the roof slope at the point of contact with the wall) and the upper flashing (fixed to the wall or chimney, often covered with a pressure bar). The entire assembly is sealed with silicone or special sealing tapes to maintain full tightness. They are most commonly made of galvanized metal sheets covered with protective coatings, which can even double their resistance to corrosion.
Counter-flashing strip is a flashing element belonging to the wall flashing group. Installed together with the primary wall flashing, it helps to ensure maximum tightness and the proper finishing layout of the roofing around chimneys or parapet walls. Additionally, it protects vertical sections (walls) against water seepage. We encourage you to explore other components of our wall flashing system:
