PlusLiga 2026: The playoffs begin after the regular season ends

The regular season of the PlusLiga has come to an end. After 26 rounds, the standings and the quarterfinal matchups are now set, and the teams are set to begin their battle in the playoffs, where every match has a real impact on the rest of the season.

Among the teams that qualified for the playoffs were: Jastrzębski Węgiel, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Projekt Warszawa, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, PGE Skra Bełchatów, Bogdanka LUK Lublin, and Trefl Gdańsk—that is, teams that were able to maintain a high level of performance and consistency throughout the entire regular season.

The final stretch of the season featured several key matches that showcased the teams’ current form. In the match on March 17, Bogdanka LUK Lublin defeated Trefl Gdańsk 3–1. However, it was not a one-sided match—the hosts had the upper hand early on, but as the match progressed, the Lublin team got their game together and capitalized more effectively on the opportunities that arose. The outcome was determined primarily by better organization in the closing stages of the sets and greater consistency.
