New Training Season at the Training Center—Hands-On Training in Roof Assembly and Ventilation

Another training season for roofers has begun at the Blachy Pruszyński Company Training Center in Sokołów. This marks the start of a series of sessions focusing on hands-on practice, proper installation techniques, and details that have a real impact on the durability and trouble-free use of a roof.

An important part of the preparations was the renovation and expansion of the roof and facade display area. The new display was designed to clearly demonstrate proper solutions for critical areas of the roof and facade. It is precisely these details that most often raise questions and concerns among contractors. The display will also be used during upcoming training sessions for sales representatives, which will take place in February at the Blachy Pruszyński Company Training Center.

Paweł Francuz was responsible for setting up the display. The design incorporates a wide range of system solutions. The display showcased, among other things, the proper assembly of roof ventilation, roof components, ridge tape, and a ventilation starter strip. The display is complemented by examples of proper chimney flashings, as well as the assembly of TIGRA Plus metal roof tiles on the roof and KARO panels used on the facade. Great emphasis was placed on aesthetics and precise finishing of details.

The topic of roof deck ventilation holds a special place. It is an issue that regularly comes up during training sessions and, in practice, determines the durability of the roofing, reduces moisture condensation, and ensures that the roof maintains its full performance characteristics. Proper airflow—from the eaves across the roof surface to the ridge—is the foundation of a correct assembly. That is why ventilation is one of the key topics discussed during the training sessions.

„Setting up this display was quite a challenge, primarily because of the number of components and solutions we wanted to showcase in one place. We wanted to ensure that both roofers and sales representatives could see complete, system-compliant solutions —from roof ventilation, through eave and Ridge details, all the way to chimney flashings and the aesthetically pleasing assembly of KARO panels on the facade and TIGRA Plus metal roof tiles on the roof. Since this is a training display, every detail had to be executed flawlessly, clearly, and in accordance with the principles of roofing craftsmanship. Only in this form can the display effectively support the training process and allow participants to apply the knowledge they’ve gained directly on a construction site ” – emphasizes Paweł Francuz.

The first hands-on roofing training session of the year took place on January 22–23, 2026. It was aimed at participants who had won vouchers through various initiatives, including social media contests during RoofExpo and fishing competitions. This marked the symbolic opening of the training season, with a focus on hands-on work with specific details and systems.
