Byśkiniewicz and Jastrzębski on the podium at the Świdnica Rally—a strong start to the RSMP season

A very strong start to the new rally season has become a reality. Łukasz Byśkiniewicz and Łukasz Jastrzębski made an impressive debut in the Polish Rally Championship, finishing 2nd overall in the 54th Świdnicki Rally—the opening round of this year’s series. From the very first kilometers, the TVN TURBO RALLY TEAM drivers demonstrated a fast pace and were fully prepared to fight for the top spots.

The Warsaw-Krakow duo was one of the most consistent crews in the entire rally. They won as many as four special stages and posted the second-fastest time on the remaining three, which kept them in a real fight for the win right up to the very end. In the end, they fell just 4.2 seconds short of victory. However, this does not detract from their excellent result—especially since the crew was the fastest on the final Power Stage, which awarded bonus points, significantly boosting their point total at the start of the season.

“We’re overjoyed to be kicking off the new season of the Polish Rally Championship in such fine style. I won’t deny that I’m even surprised by our fantastic results, because during the winter break I didn’t even get behind the wheel of a rally car, and before the rally itself we only completed 35 km of test runs. The Świdnica Rally went very well for us right from the test stage, which we won. During the rally, we set the fastest time four times, and on the remaining three stages, we finished second. We fell just 4.2 seconds short of ultimate success—that is, claiming the victory. At this point, I’d like to congratulate Adrian Rzeźnik on his fantastic victory and thank him for a great battle right up to the final special stage. We’re very happy and satisfied with second place. This result shows that we’re a force to be reckoned with in the fight for the top spots. We plan to maintain this pace throughout the season. I’d like to thank our partners this year, thanks to whom we were able to start the new season: Byś Recyklig, Blachy Pruszyński Company, Tekom Technologia, Kratki, Anest Iwata Polska, AutoDna, Michelin, and TVN Turbo.” – Łukasz Byśkiniewicz reports after the rally.

The team is supported by its partners, including the Blachy Pruszyński Company—the rally team’s sponsor, which is actively involved in the team’s development and its races during the RSMP season.

“Finishing second in the Świdnica Rally is wonderful. I didn’t expect such a good result. I had third or fourth place in the back of my mind, but we were fighting for the win. We were the fastest crew on more than half of the long and demanding special stages. It’s wonderful, because I’ve never finished this high on the podium at the Świdnica Rally before. Now it’s time for a great result at the Nadwiślański Rally, which will take place at the end of May.” – adds Łukasz Jastrzębski.

Such a strong start to the season clearly shows that Byśkiniewicz and Jastrzębski will be among the key players in the fight for the top spots in this year’s championship. Their consistency, pace, and effectiveness on the special stages already place them among the main contenders for the top positions in the overall standings.

The next test for the team will be the Nadwiślański Rally. If they maintain their current form, they can not only make it back onto the podium but also realistically contend for the win. In the context of the entire season, it is precisely these consistent, points-scoring performances that build a lead that could prove crucial at the end of the year.
