Michał Cieślak has become the undisputed WBC junior heavyweight world champion. The Polish boxer, who had held the organization’s interim title since June 2025, has now joined the ranks of world champions. For the brand ambassador of the Blachy Pruszyński Company, this marks another important milestone in a career that has been steadily advancing on the world stage for years.
Michał Cieślak began his professional career in 2013. From the very beginning, he steadily built his reputation in the junior heavyweight division, winning titles and gaining experience competing against the world’s top fighters. In 2019, he won the Polish International Championship, and in April 2023, he claimed the EBU European Championship by defeating Dylan Bregeon. Later that same year, he successfully defended his European title against Tommy McCarthy.
A series of victories allowed Cieślak to solidify his position among the world’s best. His most significant breakthrough to date came on June 28, 2025, in Montreal. The Polish boxer faced former world champion Jean Pascal and ended the bout in the fourth round with a technical knockout. In doing so, he won the interim WBC light heavyweight title and earned the status of mandatory challenger for the full title.
Cieślak didn’t have to wait long for his next historic moment. In September 2026, the WBC decided to award him the full championship title. Thus, the fighter from Radom became the WBC junior heavyweight world champion.
His position in the world rankings is also noteworthy. In the latest rankings published by “The Ring” magazine , Michał Cieślak is ranked 4th in the cruiserweight division. His professional record stands at 28 wins—including 22 by knockout—and two losses.
Winning the WBC title, however, does not mark the end of his athletic career. On the contrary—Cieślak faces another demanding challenge. The federation has scheduled him to fight David Benavidez, the holder of the WBA and WBO titles in this weight class. The bout is set to be a unification fight for three championship belts.
Michał Cieślak has been a brand ambassador for the Blachy Pruszyński Company for years. The partnership with the boxer is part of the company’s commitment to sports and to supporting athletes who, through their conduct, demonstrate the importance of consistency, hard work, and determination in pursuing new goals.
Back in early 2026, Cieślak visited the company’s headquarters in Sokołów as the interim WBC world champion. Today, we can already call him the full-fledged world champion.
Michał Cieślak’s story continues to unfold. The WBC championship belt is just the next step—ahead of him lie more fights, new goals, and the chance to write another chapter in the history of Polish boxing.
Congratulations, Michał! We’re keeping our fingers crossed for your next victories.
