Roof accessories – what are they for and where do we use them?

The roof is not only a metal roofing tile. Elements that are used for mounting or complement the roofing are also necessary. The number of roof accessories calculated in the project or by building depots may frighten, but without them it is impossible to create a safe, durable and aesthetic roof.

Roof accessories are a wide range of products. Their lack results in rapid damage to the tin cover, despite its long life. If we have such a possibility, it’s best to buy them together with a metal roof tile from one manufacturer. We are sure that all the elements fit together, have an identical finish or color. Elements for fastening the metal roofing sheet

The roof tiles (as well as trapezoidal sheets) are attached to the roof structure with farm screws with a hexagonal head, screwed into the sheet cavities. The screws almost do not distinguish from the sheet metal, because they are varnished in the same color. It is estimated that 8-12 screws are needed for 1 m2. If we decided on a modular roof tile, we still need to buy sheet metal or staples – the panels are connected at the Doczołowo plants. However, flat sheets are attached with flat screws. Some roof elements require special attachment – so screws, staples, nails, glue masses or silicones may be needed.

Necessary accessories to cover with sheet metal

The starting ventilation patch can also be useful to facilitate the start of the installation of the metal roofing well and improving the ventilation of the entire cover. Safe movement of steep roofs will be provided by chimney sweep benches (also called chimney steps). However, in the interests of the health of the household and animals, plants and belongings (e.g., car parking car), it is worth installing anti -snow barriers (they are not mandatory). In addition, various elements pass through the roof, e.g. for venting the sewage system, the outlets of ventilation ducts or the transition of antenna masts.
