The function of smoke curtains is to control the spreading fire within a building by creating a barrier. According to PN EN EN 12101-1, “smoke curtains can accumulate smoke and gases at a temperature exceeding 600 ° C, but are not intended for fulfilling the same task as fire separation.” Smoke curtains are used so that smoke and fire gases do not spread freely in rooms with a large area such as industrial, storage halls, shopping centers, etc.
