Over-gutter flashing with hem
The OVER-GUTTER flashing belongs to the eave flashings, placed along the lower edge of the roof (eave). It is made of galvanized sheet, 0.5mm thick, covered with a protective coating. Designed for standing seam panels, with additional perforation for improved ventilation.

General information
The gutter flashing, often also referred to as KAPINOS, is an element of the roof covering, responsible for draining water from the roof slope to the gutter. In addition, it protects the front strip and the wall of the building against rain, especially during heavy rainfall. Depending on the selected roofing, you can choose the most suitable variant of the gutter flashing. EAVE flashings
Eaves flashings are one of the most important technical details of a roof, responsible not only for the aesthetic finishing of the slope edges, but above all for the proper functioning of the entire roofing system.
The most important tasks of eaves flashings include:
- effective drainage of rainwater and meltwater into the gutter system,
- protecting the roof layers against capillary rising,
- protection of the eaves structure, fascia board, and facade against moisture,
- ensuring the tightness of the roofing in the eaves area,
- protecting the slope against wind-blown rain, snow, and strong winds,
- ensuring proper ventilation of the roof slope,
- drainage of condensate and moisture from the initial covering layer,
- increasing the durability and operational safety of the roof.
Particular attention should be paid to the correct connection of eaves flashings with the roof membrane, gutter system, and ventilation elements. An incorrectly executed eaves detail can lead to moisture in the thermal insulation, degradation of the wooden structure, and limited effectiveness of the roof slope ventilation.
Over-gutter flashing with hem
The OVER-GUTTER flashing, often also referred to as a DRIP EDGE, is a roofing element responsible for draining water from the roof slope into the gutter. Its main role is to ensure the flowing water detaches from the slope and is redirected into the gutter. An additional element in the form of a so-called “hem” enables easy installation of standing seam panels and single-module roof tiles.
