Transport and storage

Gutters, pipes and other elements of the system should be transported with clean, dry and covered means of transport. They must not be allowed to wet during transport and storage, because as a result of their contact with water, the first stage of the patinment process may begin, characterized by the formation of zinc hydroxide – white raid on the surface of the material. The phenomenon is a natural process, it is not a material defect, but at the storage stage it is undesirable for aesthetic reasons.

  • Short -term storage: at the gutter construction site, pipes and other system elements should stand on pallets in the factory packaging, under the roof.
  • Long -term storage: rooms in which it stores elements made of zinc titanium should be dry and airy, and the temperature in them cannot be lower than 0 ° C. The stored materials should be protected against moisture and separated from active chemicals.

Connecting with other materials

  • Copper- elements made of various metals cannot come into contact with each other if it could lead to contact corrosion or other adverse interactions. In the presence of the electrolyte (rainwater, moisture contained in building materials), the danger of electrochemical corrosion (formation of galvanic cells) arises. Copper ions contained in the flowing water can contribute to the corrosion of the surface tin and tin metal sheet. Therefore, this sheet, relative to the direction of water flow, should not be below the copper materials used. In turn, steel elements, unsecured, are quite fast corrosion and can cause difficult to remove rust stains.
  • Bituminous coverings– with direct contact of zinc-titanium sheet with water flowing from the bituminous surface, an adverse phenomenon called bituminous corrosion may occur. This situation occurs when the use of metal drainage systems and flashings under roofs covered with bituminous materials, e.g. papa. The bituminous surface subjected to UV radiation, atmospheric moisture and chemical compounds contained in the air emits aggressive chemicals with acidic reaction, which in contact with sheet metal can cause zinc corrosion.

The gutter system made of tip touttas proposed by our company is a complete drainage system, used wherever we care about the classic, elegant appearance and above average durability.

Eagerly used as dehydration of new buildings as well as in the renovation of older and historic buildings. Titan -tip gutter system is in two sizes 125/90 and 150/100 and two types of external surface finish. Titan zinc is a kind of zinc alloy with the addition of titanium, copper and aluminum. It is characterized by excellent parameters when it comes to durability. Under the influence of weather conditions, a thin matt layer of oxide is created in the initially shiny gutter surface, commonly known as patina.
