Too few screws (to save money) or their incorrect placement means that the roofing is not properly secured and may be lifted by the wind.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No staples<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a critical mistake <strong>not to use staples to fasten the sheets together<\/strong> or <strong>to use an insufficient number of staples<\/strong>. The staples secure the panels to one another, preventing them from shifting and creating gaps. A lack of staples or an insufficient number of them causes the panels to spread apart due to thermal expansion and wind, resulting in a leaky roof. According to the manufacturer\u2019s recommendations, staples should be installed at every vertical joint of the panels.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inadequate roof ventilation\u2014the most common and most serious mistake<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roof deck ventilation is essential for proper roofing assembly. The ventilation system must remove water vapor before it begins to condense under the roof coverings. A lack of airflow over the pre-covering causes large amounts of condensation and moisture to accumulate beneath the metal roofing sheets, leading to corrosion, mold growth in the wooden structure, and a shorter roof lifespan.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key ventilation requirements:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Air inlets in the eaves<\/strong> \u2013 the use of a ventilation eaves batten is mandatory. The first row of panel roof tiles should extend at least 2 cm beyond the eave and must not touch the first batten or the ventilation batten. This gap ensures proper airflow. Extending the panel is particularly necessary for the FIORD and TIGRA PLUS models.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Air vents at the ridge<\/strong> \u2014at the top of the roof, where the roof slopes meet\u2014a space at least 60 mm wide must be left between the installed metal roof tiles. On both plain and sloped ridges, it is mandatory to install a ridge tape with VENTSOL 230 mesh, which ensures airflow, wicks away moisture, and seals the joint between roof slopes, protecting the roof layers from snow, rain, dust, and dirt. The use of ridge tapes with nonwoven fabric is prohibited\u2014only VENTSOL 230 mesh ventilation tapes are permitted.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ventilation gaps<\/strong> \u2013 continuous ventilation gaps with a minimum height of 40\u201350 mm must be left between the metal roof tiles and the pre-covering; these gaps are ensured by the appropriate thickness of the counter-battens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inadequate ventilation is the most common cause of roof problems and complaints. No assistance is needed. Plus, assembly is done from the top. This is safer because we remain on the roof battens\u2014on stable ground\u2014at all times, and the roof coverings are less likely to be damaged.
